Thailand-July 20, 2010 (continued)

In the afternoon of July 20, 2010, we traveled to the Ayutthaya Province to visit Jirasartwitthaya School (the famous private school in Phra NakornSri Ayutthaya Province) ( http://www.jirasart.com/ )This is a prívate elementary school. We received a warm welcome and were escorted by student guides throughout the building. It is quite evident that this school provides and excellent academic and extracurricular program to its students. In addition to the very impressive Director and her Thai staff, I was introduced to two foreign teachers (native speaking teachers of English) with whom I hope to be able to collaborate on student projects via the internet. Teacher “Bird” seemed to be interesed in getting a cooperative project moving! I am looking forward to getting email from him. To be continued……more adventures to come this afternoon!

    With what grade level does the teacher work?

    I just got caught up on all your blogs. What a fabulous trip so far. It seems that you got to do a little of everything and see a little of everything, so far. The pictures are wonderful. It is so nice to see what Areerat's professional and home life are like. Your blogs are a window into a different world. I especially love the traditional dress, dance, and sites. Thailand's traditional dress is so beautiful.

    I see that you are now in the same uniform as Areerat and the other Thailand educators. You appear to have truly assimilated into the Thai culture. What an incredible visit you are having. I can't wait to see all the pictures I know you have taken. Thanks for sharing this travel experience with us.
